LearnFineEdge sometimes earns a small commission when a reader follows a link in an article and signs up for, opens, or buys a financial product. This page explains where those commissions are possible, how we label them, and how we keep them from affecting our editorial decisions.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a tracked URL that allows the product company to attribute a sign-up or purchase to LearnFineEdge as the referring publisher. If you click such a link and complete a qualifying action, the company pays us a referral fee. The fee comes from the company’s marketing budget. You are not charged extra for using an affiliate link compared with finding the product directly.
Where you may see affiliate links on this site
We may use affiliate links in the following article categories, although not every article in these categories contains one:
- Insurance comparison articles (term insurance, health insurance, motor insurance), where we link to insurer official sites or to aggregator portals that pay referral commissions.
- Broking and demat account articles, where we link to SEBI-registered stock brokers that operate referral programmes.
- Mutual fund education articles, where we link to AMC-direct platforms or AMFI-registered distributors.
- Banking product articles (savings accounts, fixed deposits, credit cards), where we link to bank official sites that pay referral commissions.
- Personal-finance software and budgeting tool articles, where we link to subscription products that operate affiliate programmes.
How affiliate links are labelled
Every affiliate link in an article body is accompanied by an inline note such as “this is an affiliate link”, “we earn a referral fee if you use this link”, or a small disclosure block at the start or end of the article. Sponsored articles, which are a distinct format from affiliate links, are labelled as Sponsored Content in the byline and follow our Advertise With Us policy.
How affiliate revenue affects editorial decisions
It does not. Our editorial team chooses which products to discuss based on relevance to readers, transparency of product disclosures, the regulator’s approval status, and our independent assessment of the product’s value. We have no rule that requires us to favour a partner over a non-partner. We have several articles that recommend the SEBI-direct path (for example, using AMC websites directly for mutual funds, or using the eNPS portal directly for NPS) over routes that pay us referral commissions. Where we believe the unaffiliated path is better for the reader, we say so.
If you are concerned that a particular article has been influenced by an affiliate relationship, please write to us at our Contact page and we will explain the editorial reasoning behind the recommendations in that article.
What we will not do
- We will not accept payment in exchange for hiding negative information about a product.
- We will not write articles whose only purpose is to drive affiliate clicks, with no original analysis or education.
- We will not promote products that we believe are mis-sold, structurally disadvantageous to the reader, or that fail SEBI, RBI, or IRDAI disclosure norms.
- We will not promote unregistered investment products, unlicensed advisory services, or unregulated cryptocurrency offerings.
How to opt out
If you prefer not to support the site through affiliate links, you can simply search for the product name directly on Google or visit the official product site without using our link. You will still get the same product. We will not earn a referral fee. The article is unchanged for you either way.
Compliance
This disclosure is provided in line with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) guidelines on disclosure of commercial relationships in editorial-style content, and with the spirit of the FTC and similar global guidelines on affiliate marketing. We treat affiliate disclosure as a baseline of reader trust, not a regulatory check-box.
Questions
If you have a question about a specific affiliate link, the company behind it, or how the referral fee is structured, please write to us at our Contact page. We will answer specifically.
